Chapter 22
Leo and Mossweaver left Great Falls early in the morning, their breath visible in the crisp air. The journey to the Minotaur village of Taurenstone was one they had prepared for, both physically and mentally. They were to parley with Chief Mulgor Hoofstrike, a meeting that held significant diplomatic importance.
The path to Taurenstone wound through dense forests and rugged hills. The early morning sun cast long shadows, and the forest was alive with the sounds of rustling leaves and distant bird calls.
As they reached a narrow pass flanked by high cliffs, Mossweaver paused, his eyes narrowing as he scanned the terrain with his powerful mana awareness. "Leo, there's a pack of Titan Wolves up ahead," he said calmly. "They're directly on the route we need to take."
"How far are they, and how many?" he asked.
Mossweaver closed his eyes for a moment, sensing the wolves' presence miles away. "They're about an hour's walk from here., At least ten of them, including an Alpha boss. We'll encounter them on our current path."
Leo nodded, trusting Mossweaver's judgment. "Should we find another route? I mean, I'm always up for a fight, just worried about timing. Don't want to insult the chief right off the bat by being late.
Mossweaver shook his head, a confident smile playing on his lips. "No need. We'll handle them when we get there. Let's keep moving."
When they finally reached the narrow pass, the usual sounds of the forest had gone eerily silent. Mossweaver paused again, his mana awareness confirming the wolves' presence nearby. "They're here," he murmured.
Lei had also picked them up. But before he could respond, a guttural growl echoed through the pass. Emerging from the shadows were the Titan Wolves, massive creatures with thick, silver fur and eyes that glowed with a predatory hunger. The pack, numbering at least a dozen, spread out to encircle them.
Identify.
Titan wolf Alpha - (Level 101)
Titan Wolves are fearsome, apex predators that roam the wilderness, striking fear into the hearts of even seasoned adventurers. These creatures possess a number of strengths and weaknesses that make them both formidable foes and potentially vulnerable under the right circumstances.
Description:
Titan Wolves are enormous, standing over five feet tall at the shoulder and measuring up to twelve feet in length. Their thick, silver fur is both a protective barrier and a form of camouflage in moonlit landscapes. They have muscular, agile bodies built for both endurance and speed, allowing them to chase down prey over long distances. Their eyes glow with an eerie luminescence, reflecting their heightened senses and predatory intelligence.
Strengths:
Physical Power: Titan Wolves possess immense physical strength, allowing them to take down large prey with ease. Their powerful jaws can crush bones, and their claws can rip through armor.
Speed and Agility: Despite their size, Titan Wolves are incredibly fast and agile. They can outmaneuver most opponents and strike with lightning speed, making them difficult to hit in combat.
Pack Tactics: Titan Wolves hunt in packs, using coordinated tactics to overwhelm their prey. They communicate with each other
